Diane McLellan

Diane McLellan studied Visual Art at the University College of Wales, Aberystwyth. Before focusing on printmaking she worked for many years as a graphic designer for television producing on-screen graphics, animations and title sequences, all of which has informed how she processes her work. Her prints start with an image or photograph that reflect a passing moment, a snapshot in time that tells a story. Favourite print methods include lithography, monotypes and image transfer and she often layers prints using a combination of these techniques. She is inspired by both cities and countryside, and also her travels, all reflecting on transient points and possibilities. Diane has exhibited at the Royal Academy Summer Exhibition and also regularly with the Printmakers Council and Richmond Printmakers.
