"Maureen is a multi-disciplinary artist working from her studio in North London. The evidence of human presence is the theme that runs through all of her work whatever the subject matter. Using different printmaking processes drawing is the connector between them. Maureen works as sustainably as possible using non-toxic inks, recycled materials (household cartons, recycled floor covering), natural garden materials and compostable linseed oil based lino. Even the paper she prints on, if not found paper such as old book pages or music sheets is recycled offcuts collected from various print studios in London. ​As you can see with Cluster, One Red Pebble and Memento Mori, using a variety of printmaking processes means that plates using various materials find themselves together on the press and pass through many times to produce layers, embossing and arrangements.
