Richard Peacock
Richard Peacock is a printmaker based at the Chocolate Factory studios in North London. He makes screen prints and woodcuts.
His work combines elements of abstraction and pop art, with a love of colour and rhythm. He often uses discarded packaging to make the stencils for his screen prints and raids skips for wood for his wood cuts.
He completed a Fine Art degree at the University of Hertfordshire in 2001 (IIi).
His first solo exhibition was at the Barbican Centre Library in 2000 when he was a student. He has also shown work at the Geffrye Museum, Shoreditch Town Hall and the Originals Exhibition at the Mall Gallery.
Richard regularly takes part in the Crouch End Open Studios and Chocolate Factory/N22 Open Studios. He has work in private collections in the UK, Ireland, USA, Australia and South Africa and in the collection of Paintings in Hospitals. His work has been exhibited at the Affordable Art Fair in London and New York.
He is a member of the Printmakers Council and Southbank Printmakers.
